santorini rug by emma gardner design. emma gardner's rug designs have been heralded in publications worldwide, including elle décor, instyle, and the new york times. santorini is no exception, capturing the eye with a whimsical allover pattern of flying fish entangled in vines. available in two color combinations. all rugs are designed by emma gardner, beginning initially on paper and transferred to the computer or enhanced in gouache. they are painstakingly hand-knotted by tibetan weavers in nepal according to fair trade practices, using techniques that have been preserved for centuries. the result is an exceptionally durable rug made of the purest and highest-quality materials: fine, hand-crafted, hand-spun tibetan wool and chinese silk. 20% chinese silk, 80% tibetan wool, 100 knots per inch with 5 mm pile.
