Ooh I love this week's challenge. This song takes me back! Thanks for a great choice of song, Hello Blondie!

When this song first came out, I was BFFs with this guy who was a huge Gwen Stefani fan. And we really really loved the song, so it kind of became our anthem. We'd crank it up out loud and we'd dance around copying Gwen in her video - and my friend would do such a great impersonation of Gwen on the pirate ship, I would just stop dancing and started to literally roll on the floor laughing my ass off ;p Oh it was so much fun - I really miss him, but we have grown apart lately, so I rarely see him again. And anyway, he's one of those friends who are only for a season - after a while, you just grew apart because you've both changed and suddenly you just don't fit into each other's worlds again.

So this look is dedicated to him, in honor of our crazy days together. Now I don't know if I can actually pull off this look but I so want to ;p

Okay now I have the song in my head:

Yeay, love that this group continues to be ressurected! Hello Blondie and HarperLeo, you girls are great for taking over while Sachastar is absent, we do love the challenges in this group!

I love the Balenciaga ads for the 2009 Fall/Winter collection with Jennifer Connelly. They're just so edgy and interesting, and Jennifer Connelly is the perfect choice as the face of the brand.

For this challenge, this is my interpretation of the ad: since it's already so cool I try to bring all the elements of the ad into my look, but add my own touches to it, of course. I am obsessed with the wallet/clutch. If it weren't so expensive, I'd buy it without thinking!

I really enjoy this group, it's a way for me to unleash my inner (well, since I critique people all the time, maybe outer) critic. And this week's challenge is definitely fun since I do love a little Lindsay Lohan bashing ;p

For this challenge, here's my deliberation:

LOVE: Shakira: She's been embracing this new edgy style lately and even though not everyone likes it, I actually do. She knows how to pull it off without being too much. The dress looks so hot on her banging body, the shoes are awesome and I love that little clutch. Her hair and make up are perfect as well. Love, love, love.

LIKE: Lindsay Lohan. I only put her in the like category just because it's a "Love, Like or Loathe" challenge, not a "Love, Loathe and Loather" ;p Her dress is actually not bad, but she is way too pale to be wearing that kind of pale gold color, and her hair and make up - well, let's just say, she's a hot mess, all right!

LOATHE: Donatella Versace. I just don't get her. First, she's a designer. Second, she's attending an event in honor of her. So why oh why did she choose a dress that just looks cheap on her? Her boobs look like they're about to stage a jailbreak! I'm just out of words - this is hideous, in my opinion.

Here are my looks for Lindsay Lohan (left) and Donatella Versace (right), I think these would look better on them than what they were wearing that night. Oh and Lindsay, two words: spray tan. ;p

Now to our next challenge. This weekend was somewhat of a roller coaster ride for me because on one hand we had a great time celebrating my sister and my mom's birthday and on the other, a very good family friend of ours is going through a rough financial situation, and even though we were able to do what we could to help, the situation still breaks my heart.

So this week, I want you to define "MONEY". The world is in a global economic crisis and money is in everyone's mind. But even without the crisis, we can't escape from this topic. Money truly makes the world go round. Money is one instrument that in the right hands can do so much good for the world and in the wrong hands can do so much damage.

What is your definition of money? Is it really the most important thing in the world? Or can we live without it? What's your attitude towards it? Do you have to have lots of it, or are you happy with what you have right now?
