Money is a motivating power. Money is a reality we live in.
Money can buy everything. Money can not buy things that we crave the most, like true unconditional love or careless freedom or child's laughter.

I was born and raised back in Soviet Union where money were considered evil. According to the Soviet ideology money should be obsoleted very soon when Communism would dominate the world. Of course, people needed money and earned them as hard as everywhere and spent them for their needs but there were not real wealth there. Some people were a little bit better off than the other but all these differences were miniscule. But living under the Iron Curtain was like living in a Wonderland. When I was reading about "rich people" it was like a fairy tale: "sitting in his mansion in front of a fire place, drinking Hennesey and smoking cigars..."
I must admit I'm not very good with money management. Probably because I didn't get the "money concept" in my childhood. Though I'm in business and doing pretty well today. But I attribute it mostly to luck and my ability to see opportunities and take risks.

Today, 20 years after Berlin Wall' collapse it may look naive. But the best caption a Soviet PR-manager would stick to this photo would be: "the brutish grin of Capitalism".

La Loren!
When I was just a little girl my mom showed me assorted clippings from black & white fashion magazines. She was there ... gorgeous goddess.
My mother worshiped her and tried to imitate Loren' style and makeup... The best compliment for her was: "You look very much like Loren". My mother was not exact look-alike but she was beautiful and yes, there were similarities: her smile, her posture, charisma and unlimited sex appeal.
Later on I saw some of Loren's films: Girasoli, La Chiochara,
Matrimonio All'Italiana, Ieri, oggi, domani...
Much later I named my daughter Sophia. Not exactly after Loren... Always liked the name. But I definitely had Loren in mind.
