Product Information In a 1956 Time magazine cover story, Eero Saarinen said that “the underside of typical tables and chairs makes a confusing, unrestful world,” and that he was designing a new collection to “clear up the slum of legs in the U.S. home.” Later that year, he completed his Pedestal Table (1956), whose form was inspired by a drop of high-viscosity liquid. This iconic table features a cast-aluminum base with abrasion-resistant Rilsan finish and a solid marble, wood veneer or laminate tabletop. Each is stamped with the KnollStudio logo and Eero Saarinen’s signature. This is the authentic Saarinen Pedestal Table by Knoll. Base made in China; tabletop made in Italy or U.S.A., depending on material. Stone masters carefully select marble with the best composition and veining to create tops for marble Saarinen Pedestal Tables. Please rest assured that each one’s unique markings are not imperfections but rather the very traits that make it a true one of a kind. Materials:Cast-aluminum base with Rilsan® finish; solid marble, wood veneer or laminate tabletop with beveled edge. Solid marble: Arabescato (white with heavy grey veining), Verde Alpi (green with black and white veining) or Extra-White (pure white with very faint traces of grey). Wood veneer: MDF with cathedral-grain oak, walnut, cherry, ebonized walnut or Pau Ferro rosewood veneer. Laminate: MDF with laminate. Measurements:H 20" Diameter 20"
Product Information If you combined the work of I.M. Pei and Eero Saarinen, the result might very well look like the Platner Collection (1962). Warren Platner worked with both of the industrial and organic design giants before turning his attention to steel wire furniture, for which he devised the structure and production method. Requiring as many as 1,000 welds and crafted out of wire and space, the Side Table demonstrates Platner's belief that there is room in modernism "for the kind of decorative, gentle, graceful design that appeared in a period style like Louis XV." Constructed of metal components that are finished in bright nickel with a clear lacquer protective coating, the table features a clear plastic extrusion ring surrounding the base to protect floors and ensure a level tabletop. The tabletop is made of .4" thick tempered glass. The Platner Collection is Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certified for low-emitting products. Manufactured by Knoll® according to the original and exacting specifications of the designer. Made in Italy. Get it fast: This item is in stock and ready to ship. Materials:Steel wire rods with nickel finish and protected with clear lacquer; .4" thick tempered glass; base with clear plastic extrusion ring for smoothbottom surface.
Product Information Niels Bendtsen’s Pool Table Collection (2004) is a juxtaposition of undisturbed flat water (like a table) and man-made squares and rectangles (like a pool). Highlighting these shapes are the green edges of the thick glass and reflections in the frosted or black tabletops. Pool’s tempered glass top and sides are permanently fused at mitered corners using a UV gluing process that offers rigid strength and a clean connection. Exposed edges are polished flat, making them smooth to the touch. The top’s color is silk-screened on the bottom of the panel and then baked to give a flawless and permanent hue. A variety of sizes offer several nesting possibilities, easily arranged to fit individual needs. Made in China. Made in U.S.A. Materials:Tempered Glass

Product Information “Furniture that is too obviously designed,” said Milo Baughman, “is very interesting, but too often belongs only in museums.” While we could certainly see his Drum Side Table (1970s) in a museum, it would earn its place there for its simplicity and lack of unnecessary ornamentation. Distilling the idea of an occasional table to its simplest form, Baughman’s cylindrical design draws you in with its smoothness and warmth. The quality construction includes edges that are welded, ground and polished by hand until there is a perfect transition from the side to the top. Leveling floor glides compensate for uneven surfaces. Made in U.S.A. Materials:Steel with brushed bronze finish. Measurements:H 24" Diameter 22"
Product Information Atlanta-based industrial designer Chris Hardy, who made his design debut at Salone del Mobile in 2011, created the sculptural Helix Coffee Table (2012) for DWR. He gave it an odd number of legs and positioned the brass castings to radiate out from the center, resulting in a distinctive asymmetrical form that looks different from every angle. “For Helix, I was inspired by the challenge of personalization in the modern world, and the increasing desire that we have to own objects that match our own styles and philosophies – in the way that art does,” explains Hardy. Made by hand, the cast brass base has a natural finish that’s soft and not highly polished; minor pitting and irregularities in the brass are typical of the casting process and are not defects. Thick and durable, the annealed glass tabletop is slowly cooled in a kiln to relieve internal stresses after it’s formed. Leveling glides adjust for uneven floors. Simple assembly required; no tools necessary. Base made in India; tabletop made in U.S.A. Materials:Cast brass; solid walnut; glass. Measurements:H 20" Diameter 20"
Product Information We discovered the Moebius Table (2006) in Parma, Italy, but with its endless looping base and delicately suspended glass surface, it defies national boundaries. The solid walnut foundation flares and narrows in six arcs, creating a look of poised animation. Each upright is accented by brass hardware and serves as a balance point for the thick glass top. The name was inspired by August Ferdinand Möbius, the German astronomer and mathematician who first published the discovery of the Möbius strip – a two-dimensional surface with only one side. To construct a model of it, take a rectangular piece of paper, give it a half twist and then tape its ends together. The resulting shape has one continuous curve – a bit like the base of Moebius. Reminiscent of the iconic Noguchi® Table, this piece is a classic in its own right, blending rhythmic form with straightforward function. Simple assembly required. Made in Malaysia. DWR Exclusive Simple assembly required. Materials:Solid walnut base; brass hardware; 0.75" thick tempered glass top. Measurements:H 20.5" Diameter 28"
