Drawn to the translucency and versatility of bone china, Bowles had it in mind when designing his Coach Wall Light (2012). This light is beautifully crafted of hand-cast bone china, inspired by the coach lights found on Indian railways. Producing it involves a highly skilled, labor-intensive process that begins with raw clay and ends with biscuit firing, glazing, glossing and firing again.
