DWR Exclusive Born in Tokyo and raised in New England, Jonah Takagi earned a bachelors degree from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2002. Pursuing his two passions, he spent the last decade designing furniture and playing bass guitar for several indie rock bands. Unfortunately, being on the road gave him little time to showcase his furniture, leaving him with a house full of products no one had seen. To showcase his growing body of work, he founded Atelier Takagi in 2005. His Tier Table (2015) draws from the architectural language of modernist 1960's high-rises. Featuring legs that have been relocated from the corners to the sides, this is a modern table thats firmly planted on the ground, with tiered shelves for extra storage. Made in Taiwan.
