Make It Work
Fashion is all about "making it work", and as we all know this catchphrase is coined by Tim Gunn in Project Runway and has seeped into our daily lives.

Every week, I will post an item of clothing and a venue/event that doesn't match the item (i.e: a bathing suit and a cocktail party) - and your task is to make it work. Use your creativity, girls, I know you can do this!

Hi Kirsty! To do the challenges, all you have to do is add the items posted in the group topics (i.e. Make It Work #42: Puff Sleeve, if you open the topic you'll see two puff-sleeved shirts, just add either one or both to your favorites) and then create a look using the items according to the assignment (i.e the puff sleeve challenge is to make it work in the office, so you can be as creative as possible in creating an office look for the shirt). I always post two items but you're free to choose either one to do. Once you've done the look, post it in this group by ticking the box, you can also post it in SS Parties group so more people can check out your look. Hope that helps, if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask me!
love this group,so much creativiity involved,i look forward to every new challenge!
Binky,I thinky uo should make the challenges more often, because I have to wait for each week to come around before I can do this.
Hi Chocolateandfashion, unfortunately this is a weekly challenge so you do have to wait a whole week for the next challenge ;p I don't mind posting the challenges often but I do want to give everyone a chance to do them and if I post the challenges too often, some will probably feel overwhelmed and can't catch up (myself included!). There are so many other groups with interesting challenges too, I suggest you join them so you can take part in many different and fun challenges. For more info, you can check out SS Weekly in my stylebook every Thursday or just browse around! Have fun!
Hey Binky.I just wanted to say hi because I am that bored(no offense).I was also wondering, could you please tell me how old you are!!!!!
re: Challenge #53 - Batwing Sweaters. Congrats to all the entrants for being brave enough to attempt this challenge. It was difficult to pick a winner due to the many impressive looks. However, there was one that I just couldn't go past & that is "natural born styler" - the look was exceptionally stylish with a strong creative edge. Congratulations & now you have the honor of setting the next Make It Work challenge!! As decreed by our esteemed founder, Binky :)
Hello everyone!!

I'm proud to announce the winner of the poncho challenge..... PRIMA DONA!!!!
I loved the fun cute look she styled, I think she totally made it work!
Thank you everyone for taking part. I thought I set a tough challenge but you all rose to it like the true professional stylists that you are. Well done!!
And the winner is... Sonz1980 !!! Her look was perfect with the Jimmy Choo PEP tote. Her choice of flower print top was unexpected but still worked amazingly with the mixed prints. Plus the suede boots and jacquard biker jacket are killer! Congratulations and I can't wait to see what Sonz1980 picks.

P.S.- I had a difficult time deciding because there were so many amazing entries so I spread a few gifts around to my close runner-up looks.
