Originally commissioned by Il Museo in Erba, a children's museum in Bellinzona, Switzerland, this conceptual design was created by French artist Yann Legendre to commemorate an interactive exhibition on shifting perspective. This graphic print explores the theme materiali molli ("soft materials") as a way of cushioning one's environment with inspiration from creative people and places. It is the second image from this series reproduced by Chicago-based design team Legendre and Lance Rutter exclusively for CB2. Printed on FSC-certified paper, four silkscreened inks illustrate an expressionless figure, landing softly on billowy red folds. Legendre & Rutter present a series of product creations that explore the reinvention of the printed artifact, transforming functional communication pieces into a form of visual poetry for your home. Each poster is signed and arrives in a recycled cardboard tube with artist's bio and inspiration.
