In 2010, we asked our friend Sandy Chilewich to design modern placemats especially for our oval tables. A master of unique materials, the career path of this designer includes being the co-founder of HUE hosiery company, as well as the creator of a patented series of bowls made with stretch netting typically found in lingerie. Rest assured, there are no unmentionables used in the making of her Oval Placemat (2010). Rather, it features Chilewich's signature woven-vinyl textile and has a refined, tight pattern that she calls Mini Basketweave. All Chilewich products have a long life cycle, which she says “helps the user reduce both energy use and costs while maintaining a sophisticated and modern aesthetic.” Available in four colors, each sold in sets of six. Made in U.S.A.
