The cotton blankets are the work of Area's founder, Anki Spets, who created these items for the American market after seeing a void in relaxed, sophisticated modern bedding. The qualities she was used to finding in Swedish products have been thoughtfully applied to the entire collection of Nest Bedding. Always looking for new ways to use something familiar, Spets experimented with weaving techniques to make this blanket. “It's a non-pattern pattern,” said the designer. “I was trying to get a soft hand a ‘drapey' material all in one.” The result is a basket weave that uses two colors, ash grey and white, to form a subtle grid. These blankets are lightweight, suitable for year-round use and machine washable. Made in Portugal.
