To her, knitting “means I have complete control over the fabric I create, color, pattern and texture as I am making a fabric from a piece of yarn,” she says. “I still find this amazing.” Perfectly patterned in delightful color combinations, Wilson's Nos Da Throw and Pillow (2009), which are named for a Welsh phrase meaning “good night,” are a modern take on traditional English double cloth. This special textile doesn't have a post-weaving wash, making it durable and hard wearing. The wool is spun in a Yorkshire mill to create the required thick yarn, and then woven at a 100-year-old mill in Wales. The method allows for Nos Da's complex patterns and surface textures. Made in England.
