In the case of his Stirrup Collection (2000), the inspiration came from a searchlight on the back of a toy lorry (the British term for truck). The Stirrup 3 Uplighter/Floor Lamp is freestanding and sits on the floor or tabletop. With a pivoting shade supported by a stirrup-shaped bracket, this light allows you to direct the light where you need it, and the etched glass diffuser provides soft, ambient light. Attention to detail is at the heart of every Original BTC collection, right down to the braided cord. This detail, which is one of Original BTC's best-loved design features, was designed by Peter, who snipped the cord off the family iron (adding a wrinkle to marital bliss) when it gave him an idea for something better than an ordinary plastic cord. Stirrup is UL Listed and suitable for commercial spaces. Bulb (not included): 100W/GLS/E26. Made in England.
