It's a different approach than starting with a word or a concept or an idea.” Their creations have been exhibited at museums in their native country, including the Dutch Textile Museum, and they presented their luxuriously soft Merino Wool Throw (2005) at Milan Design Week 2007. The Throw is woven at Weverij de Ploeg, which was originally founded in 1923 as a cooperative weaving company and worked with Bauhaus-trained weavers. As tantalizing as a field of tulips, the Throws are “splashes of color,” Scholten says, “and very simple products that completely change an interior.” We think you'll agree. Made in the Netherlands.
