It's simplicity that demands awareness. The essence collection by Iittala is deceptively simple. Each red wine glass is perfectly formed from mouth-blown glass. The sizes of the glasses are just right to allow just the right amount of air in to let the wine breathe. All of the glasses in the collection (red wine, white wine and champagne) are extra tall and well-balanced. Look at them on the dinner table and the presentation is also simplified...each glass is exactly the same height. Creating order where a chaotic jumble of heights usually exists. The foot is pulled as the glass is being formed--not added after the fact, as on most wine glasses. So, there's no odd little bump at the bottom of the stem to interrupt the perfectly clean lines. Designed by Alfredo Haberli. Made of clear lead-free glass. 9" high. 15 oz capacity. Iittala glass is high quality and optically very clear. While the glass is dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing stemmed glasses.
