The firm eventually discontinued the line in 1979. In the 1990's Modernica reissued the Bubble Lamps to the original specifications using the original Howard Miller tooling. The Bubble Lamp is featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The criss-cross pattern was an option available on most original nelson bubble lamps. Buyers simply had to specify 'cc' on their bubble lamp order. We're just thrilled they're back in production! Steel frame with polymer covering. The pendant George Nelson Bubble Lamps have 6 feet of cord included in the assembly kit. The extra large sizes come with 9 feet of cord. Custom cord lengths are available. Please call 760-230-1563 for more information. The custom cord length does not include rewiring of the fixture. Order the total length you'll need as the cords cannot be joined together. Measures 9.5"h x 25" dia. The pendant Bubble lamps also include a brushed nickel ceiling plate that measures 5.25''. All of the Bubble Lamps are UL Rated for up to 150 watt bulbs, except for the Small Saucer style which is UL Rated for 60 watts. Made in the U.S.A.
