"In the design process, we often perceive a Vipp product as a tool, which will be used to produce or achieve something a tool that should preferably have a long lifetime. The Vipp Salt and Pepper Mill was designed based on this line of thinking. As a result of strong materials, a ceramic grinder and particular focus on the sound experience, it is a tool that highlights the experience of quality every single time it is used," says Morten Bo Jensen, the chief designer at Vipp. A storage tray is included to keep the mills nested in place. Vipp was founded by Holger Nielsen in 1938, after a pedal bin he designed and manufactured for his wife's hair salon quickly gained recognition, and he was flooded with requests for his eminently useful design. Since then, the business has expanded to include a wide assortment of equally well-designed items for the home and bath. Made in China.
