Don't pass up this baby!Barricade 8, what a great combination of comfort and control right out of the box. I'm 6' 2" in height and weigh 220 Lbs. So I put my shoes under a lot of stress on the tennis court. I've owned Barricades since the Barricade 5 and have loved all of them for one reason or another but, this Barricade 8 is the pinnicle of shoe performance and comfort. Great traction, control and comfort. I also like that I can get my shoes customized. I haven't done the customizing yet, but, I most definetly will for a second pair of Barricade 8's. And of course, I always like that I can buy the Adidas shoes in 13 1/2 size, so much better than clopping around in size 14's. Adidas is number one in my book. They really care about us.

Need more options !I've purchase about 3 pair of the mi barricades, but the latest options just don't let the creator go wild and get creative. For $180, need more options before I click the "BUY" button on these the mi8's.
TennisWarrior - Review from adidas
Finally a Barricade that rivals the Barricade 2I have worn barricades since the 1st version but standardized on the Barricade II for last 10 years( 50+ pairs worn). I kept trying the latest models of the barricade but could not move to them because they were just not as comfortable and stable as the Barricade IIs. I have found a winner. The Barricade 8 matches the comfort and stability of the Barricade II and offers the newest technology from the Adidas brand. I have worn them every day for the last month during practice and tournaments and they have withstood the durability and comfort test with aplomb.
CoachBrom - Review from adidas
I'm sticking to the 7sWithout a pivot point on the ball of the foot the shoe loses much of its traction on a hard court. A pivot point would be a break in the design, like a circle or something similar, to provide more traction to the player when changing direction. This shoe, with the continuous herringbone design would be great for clay courts and should be advertised as such, but is an awful shoe for hard court play. I played tennis or coach tennis nearly 45 hours a week and have been playing with barricades for nearly my entire tennis career and am sorely disappointed with these shoes. I should have known better than to buy shoes for hard court play with out soles of this design. Check out the barricade 7s; they are fantastic shoes.
