Amazing ProductI purchased this product about a week ago.It is well made and looks great on my counter.I prepared a pot roast and it was cooked to absolute perfection! The roast required cooking partly on high and partly on low. The cooker done exactly as it was programmed to do.I am preparing chili this very momentThis was a fantastic purchase!

So glad I got thisI'm really enjoying this cooker. It's attractive, easy to clean, easy to use. Two big plusses: The insert can be used on the stove top to sear meat, saute veggies, etc., eliminating the need to use a separate pan . Secondly, the lid is glass, so you can see how the food looks as it cooks. According to Cooks Illustrated, every time one opens the lid, it adds 15-20 minutes to the cooking timeNow for the negative - there is no cookbook and precious little information about how to use the slow-cooker, other than setting temperature and some tips. The All-Clad site revealed no recipes either. I ended up buying Cooks Illustrated Slow Cooker Revolution, vols. 1 and 2. Each has lots of terrific recipes. So far, I've made three things - tomato sauce with beef shank, onion, garlic and herbs, a pot roast with carrots and potatoes, and corned beef hash. All 3 were delicious, with tender meat and lots of flavor - nothing watered down about the taste.

I'm in love with an electric appliance!Let's face it, looks do matter and All Clad did not fail at this with this crock pot. For those of us that appreciate the beauty of stainless steel, this pot offers that visually. The black insert provides a nice contrast and has small glitter-like speckles; a plus for those of us who like a little blitz! The lid is a clear glass with a black handle that provides, again, a nice balance to the pot; let alone the functionality of it. The illuminated menu has a pale-blue backing making it very easy to read without being too 'alien' looking. So for looks, it's got it! Now function: To start, it feels good in your hands; not too heavy like my other crock pot. For women with diminished upper body strength, that is a big advantage! In terms of ease of use; again, it is well designed. This a.m. I prepared eight large meatballs. I browned them, perfectly I might add, using the insert atop my stove. (Four at a time), when I came home tired, the meatballs were done and made great meat-ball subs!
