All Clad d5I bought this cookware because we had purchased a conduction rangetop. The cookware is beautiful & it heats so evenly & well. I've baked in it also & that worked well too. I had been concerned about clean up, but so far it cleans completely & easily. I do wish it had stay cool handles though.

Excellent if used properlyWe use them on induction cookers (Volrath MagicPro) and standard electric coil. The d5 outperforms all other non-copper AllClad on both induction and standard electric coil. Our kitchen has no copper AllClad so a comparison cannot be made.Heat distributes quickly up pot walls for water, stock and sauces. They heat quickly and evenly on induction cooker. d5 requires lower heat and shorter duration when compared against other AllClad.Proper techniques and adaptation to these cookware produce intended results every time. With proper adjustment of heat, the regular eggs omelet and the all-eggwhite omelets come out just fine. There is no excessive sticking; not any more than on a regular electric burner. Our experienced cooks have no sticking problems.Blueing of pan is caused by excessive and prolong heating. New cooks unfamiliar with d5 performance characteristics and our stove tops often made such mistakes in our kitchen.d5 is expensive and there are other alternatives but if one decides to use them and knows how to adapt to their performance characteristics, they will provide a lifetime of reliable satisfactory service.

very expensive, all foods stick badlyDecided to replace my Calphalon & Analon non stick as the surface was scratched on them & not healthy I believe, so invested $1,500.00 in this set which I expected to last forever. Followed all instructions to the letter, didn't work so well on the induction cooker as promised & on gas, even low, pans turned blue & colored inside. They do water spot quickly so you have to dry them off immediately or they look terrible. They are heavy weight so I am going to keep using them & hope they will last. HARD to clean up, foods stick no matter what you do. Don't even think about cooking eggs in them.

Last pans I buy?We were tired of nonsticks going bad after 3-5 years. D5 sounded great for heat conduction, and it looked like the type/quality you see in professional kitchens (e.g. at cooking classes). They look fabulous. I thought you could do basically whatever to them like cast iron, but the instructions warn to never go over medium, always cool completely before washing (I guess you should let it cool a bit before deglazing), always dry completely, only 1-2 tsp oil/butter, and use the all-clad cleaning cream to remove stains, like the inevitable burned bits/grease. Wow, what a PAIN to clean them - I soak in hot water as they recommend and then scrub with the soft sponge (never the scrubbing side of a sponge, they say). Time will tell, but I wish there were some tips for keeping them looking nice. The quality of the pans otherwise seems really good. Obviously, they're really expensive but I figured they should last a long time.

Fabulous Cookware! This cookware is fabulous! Several family members have different versions & recommended it when we remodeled and got the new cooktop. Our old cookware just didn't work well with the new technology, but the All-Clad d5 is a dream! It cooks so evenly, and the clean up is great, since you can put this cookware in the dishwasher. We love it! Have already bought extra pieces.
