coffeespoons - Review from Anthropologie
I love cuffed pants and I love ankle pants so these were made for me. They fit true to size. The rise is below the waist and a little lower than I expected. The fabric is a mid weight that can be worn year round. I got the blue with the black contrast trim and they look great with black, navy or bright red. I think these will see a ton of use through the winter and beyond.
GeoInCalifornia - Review from Anthropologie
Runs Large! Baggy Pockets! Wrinkles Easily! After many machine washes, my older Cartonnier Wide-Legs still look and fit amazing. I had hoped these would at least meet those expectations. But that was not the case.SIZE: I ordered the beige in size 4 Tall for the added (3”) length. I normally wear a 6 Regular in Cartonnier. Sometimes a 4 Reg. I’m 5’5” tall, 135 lbs., 35-29-36, long torso, small hips and short legs.I took photos, but Anthro isn't accepting them at this time.FIT: I love high waist pants, but these are too high even for my long torso. The rise is 9”, which seems too high to sit low on the waist of a tall person. But that is what the model shot suggests. The waist on the 4 is 32”. My waist is 29”. To further muddy the measurements…the length is 31.5”, or 1.5” longer than the description claims for Tall. Since they don’t fit, the extra length isn't going to win me over. It appears you can’t jump between P, R and T sizing for additional length. The pants run large. The fabric has a small amount of stretch that was lost on me since the fit was so baggy. The waist gaped in back, but that is expected since they are 3” too big around. The black piping, wide front belt tabs, and cuffs are what hooked me in. The pockets were baggy and had too much fabric to be flattering. Deep creases had formed and the pants had stretched out even more after taking photos. I can't imagine how wrinkled they would be if I had sat down in them. It's possible they won't stretch out or wrinkle so much after they are washed to remove sizing.Recommended! These are online exclusives, but could still be available in store. If you can find several sizes, that is the best option for finding the right fit. The pants appear to sit at the low waist on the model. But I found the Talls to sit at the high waist, and run at least one size too big. So you may want to size down one size from normal for Cartonnier. The pockets have too much fabric to be flattering. There is extra material in the hemline, so it’s possible to lower the cuff for more length. The sizing for this pair is difficult to decipher. This makes it harder for the online shopper. Especially when we look to those that purchase in store for good reviews. It would be easier if these had been available in store.Rarely do I end a review feeling like I offered no help. I am very interested to hear what others experienced.
