Anthropologie Vigneto Velvet Booties
regular 6, regular 7, regular 10
NY-based designers Hilary and Barri started Madison Harding a few years out of college, after one too many trips to the shoe repair shop to get their vintage pumps back up to snuff. They set out to create a line with amazing quality, dependability and style. We love this elevated Chelsea bootie in luscious velvet for being a triple threat - textural, comfortable and shapely.

Function over formOk so I fell in love with these boots online. But the quality is so poor. How did these boots make it out of the idea phase? My first pair was returned because the glue was puckering the velvet. I spent an entire day hunting down a pair from a store because they were out of stock online. I received my second pair today and they are just as bad. The glue used (which is incredibly stinky) and the this velvet simply don't work together. I can only imagine that this issue would get dramatically worse with wear. I looked for every reason possible to keep these - but alas what good are boots that only look good in pictures?

Attention Getter! These boots are for the girl who already has everything! They are sexy, unusual, and feel special on your feet. They are 4 inches in height, so you get a nice lift, but don't feel as though you could topple over walking in them. I also bought the sweater pictured with these boots on the model and cannot wait to wear the two together!

Beautiful shoes, poor qualityI have to agree with the above review. There was a cheap smell, indicative of cheaply made products. Also, the sole start coming off within the first hour of wearing them. I'm planning on having them resoled, which is ridiculous considering the price. Definitely not a good representation for Anthro

Quality and fit not worth itThis is the first review that I have written despite my numerous Anthro purchases. I am always very happy with the quality and design of Anthro products. When I saw these booties, I knew I must have them! Unfortunately when I opened the box, not only did I smell "cheap," but I also put them on and the fit was awkward. The top part of the boot is pretty wide so there is a large gap between by ankle and the boot. They were really light which to me felt cheap, not sturdy. The smell was also awful. They smelled like they came from China. I will be returning these and hope to get something more representative of Anthro quality.

I know you want these...These are the coolest booties on the planet! I love buying unique things and these shoes will do the trick. I just took them out of the box and I have gotten so many compliments at work. The velvet is super soft and very delicate. The light blue color in the picture is accurate. I went for my usual size 7 and they fit perfect. However, the width of the boot is a little tight, cause I have slightly wider athletic feet. I hope they don't start to hurt after being broken in. Also, the glue that was used to make the shoes is smelly. I'm sure once I air them out they will be fine. The top opening of the boot is a little large, but not too bad. At least there is enough space to fit your pant legs. These booties will look great with skinnies or skirts. They are a keeper forever!!!
