Pie MakerI made a sausage pie with pre-cooked sausage. It took a little practice to place the base dough in the pan. Result a perfectly baked pie.Ray.

Was not what I expected from the descriptionI baked four pies, however it was not until I received the product and read the book that I realized that I could only use already cooked fruit and meat for the pies. In addition, once the item is heated up, it is very difficult to place the dough in the four holes, fill it, and place toping on it since it starts to cook and becomes extremely soft so that the top is hard to place directly on the pie. On the good side, if you are extremely quick with your hands, it did cook in the time of 10 minutes and it was golden brown and flaky.

Breville is the bestThis works great; you just have to experiment with ingredients and timing. One of my favorite crusts to use for savory pies is egg roll wrappers. :)I wanted to kick myself when all the cheaper brands came out with mini pie makers....until I tried one. The pies wells are much smaller than the Breville, and it doesn't cook as evenly.

With this item, you can create any type of pie using the ingredients you like and the size of the pie is perfect. Would recommend this item to anyone who enjoys pie.

Lot of workI was excited to get this but after trying several pies, I have to admit there are things I don't like. 1) the top crust burns so you have to cut out circles of parchment to put on the edges - who has time for that? 2) 1/3 cup of filling isn't much compared to the amount of pie dough. 3) it is just too much work trying to make little pies using this baker. I think it would be easier to make hand pies or little pies in individual small pans baked in the oven. Seemed like a good idea at the time but for the price, not so much.
