Chicago Cutlery DesignPro line.i am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the knives in Chicago Cutlery DesignPro line. They are ergonomically excellent, they come very sharp and I like them vey much. I own full line of Shun Classic, Shun Edo, Global, Miyabi, Wüsthof Classic knives, even some newer, PEtec all steel knives. I have custom knives from Hattori, various JCK makers, Kasumi, Tojiro, many more. I have the Chroma 301 knives designed by Porsche too, which are not very sharp out of the nice wooden boxes. I had resharpen and strop the Chroma 301 knives to 16 degree edge to be really sharp. I have a base for comparison. Chicago Cutlery not in the Japanese knife category, they use a relatively soft 420J2 steel, but nor is their price. They may have to be sharpened more often, but they are excellent kitchen knives, don't have to pamper them and they are very well worth the price.
