Fairburn - Review from Zappos
I love this pan. I was looking for something to replace our worn-out non-stick 6 qt. Rachel Ray saute pan. It had warped and the blue coating on the other side had actually fused to the burner we used it on most. (Rachael Ray, by the way, refused to replace it.) In addition to this pan, I considered the Anolon Advanced Covered Sauteuse (5.25 Qt.) and the Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick Saute Pan (5 Qt.) The Anolon was extremely durable and conveyed long-lasting quality but in the end seemed too heavy for daily use. The non-stick coating of the Calphalon pan had a slightly rough, disturbing feel to it. You could almost imagine the layers of chemicals being sprayed on it at the factory. So in the end, I went with the Cuisinart because of its smooth, eco-freindly ceramic non-stick surface and its lightweight feel. Clean up is a breeze. I might have preferred it shipped with a glass lid instead of metal, but the metal is much lighter and easier to clean anyways. Thought I would miss rubberized handles but these metal handles stay cool during use, so all the better. By the way, not sure what issue the other reviewer here had with the fit of the lid. It rests in the pan fine, not airtight, but I usually cook with it slightly cracked open anyway. I like this pan so much I usually end up cooking even small meals in it because it's superior to our other cookware. Who knows how it will wear, but right now I say "Recommended!"
Shochet m - Review from Zappos
First I would have to say that Zappos is one of my favorite places to shop online. This pan, however, came with a big flaw and I had to send it back right away. I think Cuisinart did not do a good job on this brand based on 1 experience with it and I'm disappointed.
