- Composition and Construction Frame Carved chairs and ottomans are manufactured using traditional construction methods that include hardwood frame parts, premium doweled and or tenoned joinery with glued and screwed corner blocks and "five quarter" (1 1⁄4" thickness) rails in load bearing areas. Springs Heavy gauge wire provides comfortable seating, equal weight distribution and durable seating performance. Tempered wire provides memory so that springs maintain their shape. Strong attachment keeps the springs in place and a protective coating prevents seating noises. Cushions The upholstered tight seat is constructed of a polyurethane foam and polyester fiber for a clean, tailored appearance and firm seating. Tight Backs use polypropylene webbing or sinuous springs that support a layer polyurethane foam and Polyester fiber back cushioning to minimize body impressions.
