Design Franco Raggi, 1999 Borosilicate glass, aluminum, metal Made in Italy by FontanaArte The concept of Flute comes from a simple idea: the reconciliation of aesthetic and technical requirements. A glass cone houses a lamp holder in chrome-plated aluminum that is held in place by a thin chrome plated metal horizontal bar crossing the glass and the aluminum. Light is reflected inside the polished cone and thanks to the glass diffuser addressing the light downwards, a uniform and diffused light emission is obtained. Franco Raggi was born in Milan and obtained his architecture degree at the "Politecnico" University of Milan in 1969. He has been the editor for the magazine "Casabella" and chief editor for the design magazine "Modo". His writing and his works have been published in major Italian and international magazines. He has held lectures and conventions around the world as well as developed architecture, stands, exhibits, books, sets, environments and objects for international companies. Franco Raggi's drawings and his artworks are presented in various museums and private collections around the world. flute 2 is provided with two diffusers and flute 3 with three diffusers, each mounted on a raceway with a 19.7" distance between diffuser centers. flute 1: 7.1" dia. | 14.8" h | cord: 78.7"max | 1x60w incandescent flute 2: 31.5" w | 14.8" h | cord: 78.7"max | 2x60w incandescent flute 3: 51.2" w | 14.8" h | cord: 78.7"max | 3x60w incandescent
