Beautiful coatI fell in love with this coat the moment I saw it online. Based on other reviewers I ordered a size 8 (I am a size 4) and I'm so happy I did! I just received the coat, and it fits perfectly. It is a bit snug just under the arms, and I am wearing a long sleeve t and a sweater underneath. The material is very soft, and the lining is grey satin. Nice deep pockets in the front. I love the buttons, and the weight of the coat. It is heavier than I expected, but I live in Chicago, so that is perfect. I can't wait to wear this out!

In love, yet...This is such a difficult piece for me to decide whether to buy. I was able to try it on in a store. Since they didn't have my size (6), I tried the closest available, a 10. I was extremely surprised at how well it fit; even after going up 2 sizes, the arms were still pretty tight and it hugged my body a little. This jacket runs so small that going up 1 size may have not been enough for me - wish I could've tried the 8.The design of the jacket is truly unique and lovely. The material reminds me a bit of upholstery, but I wouldn't say it's too much. It is also quite heavy. I will say that in person, it looks a bit different - the material has a shinier, fuzzier texture in person and there isn't as much stark color contrast like in the photos.I love it, but I'm really on the fence here. Is it worth $348? I can't say it is. It's a beautiful piece, but with the difficult fitting and steep price, it's hard to say.

Even better in person butRuns large. Had to return for smaller size.

On the fenceI was really excited about this jacket because I love opera-costume looking stuff. In person, I'm not sure if I love the color on me. It's pretty heavy and the fabric seems durable though there is some fraying at the edges where seams are sewn. The patterns aren't symmetrical on the two halves. It is pretty warm with a very soft lining. Kind of bulky as well; it really reminds me of upholstery. For reference I am 34C with a 27'' waist, 40" hips and the size 6 was right for me because of the tight shoulders; there is plenty of extra rooms in the waist and hips. I would have liked it to be smaller in the waist.

Brocade CoatI really like this coat! Velvet is nice and color is also quite nice. It's quite tight. Typically I wear a size 6 or 8 I received in a size 8 and not a lot of room in the upper arms and shoulders. Can't wear much underneath. I may switch for a 10. I think it is overpriced, but at end of day i think it's very different and i expect a lot of compliments. If in doubt order a size or 2 up!
