Guerlain 'Météorites Voyage' Compact
Météorites Voyage is a technological wonder, a blend of matte and pearly shades, an ingenious mixture of six correcting or light-enhancing colors to deliver the purest radiance to all complexions. Three correcting colors: a mauve that catches the light and brightens the complexion, a pink that refreshes tired complexions and a green that reduces redness. Three light-enhancing colors: a white to infuse the complexion with light, with no chalky effect, a champagne to make the skin sparkle and radiate, and a pink gold to unify olive complexions and warm up fair skin tones. Compact does not include a powder puff.

Not worth the priceThis product has a nice effect but it's super short lived. You would have to keep reapplying and the compact is sooo heavy that you cannot carry it with you. At this price i expected it to be longer lasting. No oil control either! It was returned.

You'll GlowI've been using Meteorites in the compact for years, at least 15. It is expensive but never disappoints, and to me is worth the price.I am pale and this adds a gorgeous glow without a glittery appearance. The finished look is soft, diffused, and almost angelic. I've tried the pearls before but I do not get the same result as the compact. The scent is just a plus. Candied lilacs.

Worth ItI am NOT a powder person. Powder has always made my skin look drier and redder than it needs to. I am a moisture person though (w/ dry skin) and I use pretty rich moisturizer under a tinted moisturizer for my daily makup routine and eventually realized...i do need a powder if i don't want to look a little too "dewy." So I went on a long arduous search and this, THIS is THE ONE. Great for all over setting of makeup, no obvious shimmer so it doesn't make you look 14. And best of all, doesn't highlight lines or dry spots, it just blends right into the skin. You get what you pay for I guess. The compact is weighty and beautiful and I love that it's refillable.

Causes breakoutsI was hopeful that this powder would enhance my features with a glow. Instead, it caused me to breakout terribly. I am sad, this one is going back!

Glad I SplurgedSome may not be able to bring themselves to justify spending more on "just a compact filled with makeup". This compact is not just another compact and the contents inside is not just makeup. I can justify this purchase for the following: I wanted a true compact. Not something disposable. I wanted something well-made and of heirloom quality. I have an elegant imperial jewelry box handed down to me from my grandmother - it dates back to 1840. You can't find those kinds of things these days. The compact is heavy and solid - something I can pass down... Invoking memories from an elegant era is priceless. The compact is refillable and if used right - this is one compact that won't land in a landfill. The refills are reasonable. At most, replacing the refill once or twice a year... Good makeup is worth it. The powder is positively radiant without making me look like I stepped out of a night club or worse, space ship. The trend is "radiant" everything with total sheen overkill. Ladies are walking around with so much of the cheap creme radiance stuff caked on that it looks so unnatural and so unbecoming. I want to highlight what I was born with - not try to rebuild my face. The powder is natural, flattering (for old and young), and just finishes a look that says "notice me for my natural beauty see my skin glow as a result". There is no pouf, but a brush works better and conserves the powder longer. A natural hair brush works best and I have been using fan brush. I am not disappointed and I look forward to having this for many years
