Hanae Mori 'Butterfly' Eau de Toilette
1.7 oz, 3.4 oz
Layers of aromas reveal an intimate blend of tradition and modernity from the legendary grande dame of Japanese haute couture, Hanae Mori. Cherry trees in blossom, berries in the forest, the richness of the undergrowth - all have inspired Hanae Mori (whose name means 'flower of the forest'). Notes: bilberry, blackberries, blackcurrant buds, strawberry, jasmine, peony, rose, ylang-ylang, cedarwood, raspberry tree, rosewood, sandalwood, wood.
Hanae Mori presents No. 1, a limited-edition feminine fragrance of nature's own joy and brilliance, unbinding carefree days and nights with a blend of blooms and berries from Paris. Contemporary, elegant No. 1 starts the new Eau de Collection series that draws upon sun and wind as energy and creative sources for the new decade. Approximately 30% of the power needed to create No. 1 was from renewable sources. Furthermore, a portion of proceeds from U.S. sales of No. 1 will benefit Clean Air-Cool Planet, which works to solve global warming through civic engagement, education and policy. The top note of No. 1 is crisp bergamot, contrasting blackcurrant, lively grapefruit and mulberry leaf. The middle note is luscious blackberry, lilting jasmine, raspberry and white musk. The bottom note is Indian sandalwood, fine amber and gentle vanilla. 3.4 fl. oz./ 100 mL With No. 1, Hanae Mori Parfums debuts new packaging, with a vibrant No. 1 emblem that resembles a slash of Japanese ink upon rice paper, evoking the Japanese roots of the brand, named for Madame Hanae Mori, the first female fashion designer from Japan to conquer the Paris and New York runways.
Top Note: Tree-ripe tangerine of Morocco, neroli from southern France, bergamot from Calabria. Middle Note: Egyptian jasmine for a hint of mystery, Tunisia orange blossom, green roses, American peony, and heliotrope: a purple bloom of the Andes mountains, a favorite flower of butterflies. Base Note: Tahitian vanilla, rich toffee, a touch of sandalwood from India, a hint of musk and benzoin, a fragrant resin from tree bark.
The signature fragrance of the legendary designer coined "Madame Butterfly," this exquisite, sparkling scent combines unexpected notes with modern appeal. Inspired by and created from a potpourri of essences found in the Japanese countryside. A fruity bouquet of blackberry, black currant, bilberry, and wild strawberry. Blooming floral notes of Bulgarian rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, and peony. Woodsy notes of rosewood, sandalwood, almond, and praline. 1-ounce curved, elegant glass bottle with a frosted glass cap.
With a new limited-edition fragrance for women, Hanae Mori Parfums honors the unity that comes from true romance, choosing as the name for this special blend the No. 2, universally seen as symbolic of harmony and partnership. In keeping with Hanae Mori's 21st century direction, approximately 10% of the power needed to create No. 2 in France was from hydroelectric (water-generated) sources. In return, part of proceeds from U.S. sales of No. 2 will benefit American Rivers, a nonprofit group protecting and restoring U.S. waterways. Nature offers a wave of ingredients for Hanae Mori No. 2. The top note is a dab of tangerine with black currant and mint leaf. The heart is fresh peach and apple, patchouli and white musk. The exotic base is teck wood and tears of benjoin. Hanae Mori No. 2 is the second in the new Eaux de Collection series that turns to nature as a creative and energy source for the new decade. Using hydroelectric power -- energy from the flow of rivers -- puts no carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, keeping air clean and ideal for the enjoyment of nature's own beautiful aromas of flowers, herbs and berries.

love the softness of this scentI have loved Quel ques Fleurs by Houbigant and Amarige by Givenchy for years now and wasn't really looking for another fragrance until I hugged a friend I hadn't seen in 15 years who was wearing Hanae Mori. I thought the beautiful fragrance was her personal wonderful "body aroma" until she told me it was actually Hanae Mori. A Nordstrom associate had recommended it once, but I had forgotten about it until smelling my friend. It is now my favorite fragrance, and I don't worry about it being too strong or sweet when I know I'm going to be in a small room or group of people.

Soft and SweetI smelled this scent years ago and thought it was pretty, but was addicted to watery florals at that time. I tried this on yesterday on my skin from a tester at the counter, and fell for it. I recognized it from smelling it on others, and finally put two and two together - this is the one! This is my first try at sweeter scents (which is why I gave this only 4 stars), but I liked the blend of floral/fruit/woods and almond. The woods in it bring out a richness that can handle fall/winter. Very soft yet memorable, and not girly sweet (if you know what I mean). I haven't received compliments on it yet as I haven't worn it since my purchase today, but I like that I don't smell a huge fragrance cloud around me.....very discreet, soft and comforting. That is a sign that it won't overpower others at work tomorrow!

Delicious!Combining fragrant fruit woods and various berries, the producers of Hanae Mori have created a truly unique fragrance experience. When I wear this fragrance I get attention and compliments from both Men and Women. It smells delicious! I guess you would say it is sweet but it is not overly cloying. This is a fragrance that, when you wear it, people want to follow you home! I have worn all 3 concentrations and they all last all day!

Unique and Long LastingI gave this to my mom for mother's day and she absolutely loved it. It's extremely unique, and I've noticed that it works with any skin chemistry. Since Hanae Mori is a small company, I know they get to personally select the ingredients they use in their colognes and perfumes. I feel like that selectivity has really helped contribute to the uniqueness and quality of their products. My mom loved her gift, and so did I; I often use it, too. Even though it's a toilette, it lasts as long as a parfum, and I would definitely recommend this to a friend, especially since not many people know about this brand.
