Hanae Mori 'Eau de Collection N° 6' Eau de Toilette
From Paris comes Hanae Mori parfum N° 6, the new addition to the award-winning Eau de Collection series—and the first to honor the butterfly. The butterfly: nature's symbol of transformation. Also the name of the first and most enduringly popular Hanae Mori fragrance. Creature of beauty and balance that appears in the fashion designs of Madame Hanae Mori, haute couture club member. Through the glass cap of folded butterfly wings we see an organza print showing butterflies in flight, the ritual of courtship. N° 6 is a green fragrance that places nature's needs first. It is made in France partly with power from alternative sources: wind and sun. Part of proceeds from US sales benefits Clean Air–Cool Planet, a nonprofit group that works to solve climate issues through education and civic engagement. Top notes: Tree-ripened jasmine from Morocco, neroli from southern France and bergamot from Calabria. Middle notes: Egyptian jasmine for a hint of mystery, Tunisia orange blossom, green roses, American peony and heliotrope (a purple flower beloved by butterflies). Base notes: Tahitian vanilla, rich toffee, a touch of sandalwood from India and benzoin (a fragrant resin from tree bark).

Yummy! That is what Doreen called it when she introduced it to me. I don't like some of the original hanae mori fragrances, but I must say #6 and #7 in this series are delightful and addicting. She certainly hit it out of the park with these final two in the series. This is definitely a green fragrance with a touch of sweetness but the neroli keeps it fresh. This complex mixture is well balanced and dries down to a much more subtle variation. It is an EDT so reapplying is a must over the course of the day but it does not disappear in an hour like other EDTs. Every time I wear this, people want to know what I am wearing.
