I really liked the shoe when I saw it online. The reviews were great. I usually buy a wide shoe, but the reviews seemed to say that it ran wide so I took a chance. They didn't lie. The shoe does run wide, but I had to return it. There is a seem inside that feels like it's stabbing you. I didn't notice it at first. The shoe feels great when you're trying it around the house for a limited time. However, I took it on a test drive and boy did I regret it. At first, I thought I'd gotten some sort of pebble inside the shoe -- yes, it was that uncomfortable. Eventually, I had to go barefoot. I was heartbroken. The shoe looked great and for about 20 minutes it felt fine, but perhaps the natural growth or "swelling" of my foot after walking around a bit made that seam feel like someone was stabbing me. Not surprisingly, it was my larger foot that gave me the trouble. The other foot was just fine. So be warned, if you really have wide feet, then pass on this shoe as tempting as it may seem. I wish they would make a wide and of course revisit the placement of seams inside the shoe.

I was extremely disappointed in these shoes the first time I wore them because they were not comfortable at all!! I would not recommend buying these shoes. I have 2 other pair of Jambu shoes and I love them. However, this style runs wide and there is no arch support what so ever. My feet are sore every time I wear them. When I find another pair of casual shoes to replace these, I will be getting rid of them!

Overall great, comfy shoe to run errands and even go to work (those days you are on the go). I tend to have a bit of a narrow foot - so the shoe feels a bit wide. The back collar/backstay of the shoe hurt that lower end of the achilles tendon. However with socks, it is not a problem (I always end up wearing socks with my shoes).

I have purchased other similar shoes by Jambu and love them. However, this shoe runs wide so unfortunately must be returned.

The black is crackled patent leather which really kicks up the style factor. It looks cuter and more feminine on than you would think and does not make your feet look big. Jambu has the thickest, most comfortable insole I've found. No heel pain, seems to support against pronation, no built up arch. I have worn another Jambu all summer which has been amazingly comfortable and cute. If you have a high arch, the criss cross strap of the Mai Tai may be a problem. It is for me on my right foot only. Although there is elastic, I've found if you depend on the elastic to stretch, it will end up putting uncomfortable pressure on your foot. Otherwise, this shoe is very roomy in the toe and the heel works for my narrow heel.
