After spending years emerged in urban modern dance, Barbie White founded Japanese Weekend Maternity. Her experience choreographing and leading her dance company built an expertise in designing for the moving, changing body. JW Maternity was founded to merge innovative Japanese design details with the comfort and wearability of contemporary fashion. Fusing fashion and function, the modern day woman can rely on JW for quality fabrics, solid construction, and flattering design details for pregnancy through nursing. JW is committed to keeping our production in our community. Our design, sample sewing, and shipping all takes place in our San Francisco based corporate headquarters, and nearly all of our production is manufactured in San Francisco and Oakland.
