Following principals of the “ Super Normal ” as outlined by Jasper Morrison and Naoto Fukasawa, former MIT-trained engineer-turned-designer Jarrod Beglinger is inspired by everyday, humble objects and seeks to create items that are elegant in their simplicity. Born, raised and based in Wisconsin, Jarrod received an engineering degree from MIT and a master’s in design from Design Academy Eindhoven, Netherlands. After a five-year position for a leading bicycle manufacturer, Jarrod decided to pursue his interest in design and craftsmanship. For every item that he designs, Jarrod spends time creating several prototypes. After the prototypes are perfected, he then partners with local manufacturers and woodworkers to create the final product.
