Lands' End Boys' ThermaCheck®-200 Fleece Hoodie
Boys' : M, Boys' : S
Lighter than a sweater, our ThermaCheck-200 Hoodie warms with soft, double-sided polyester fleece. Plus, it resists pilling, wash after wash.
Our best alternative to down yet — with 200g of ThermEffects insulation. Unlike down, ThermEffects insulation retains its heat, trapping warmth even when wet. It’s also very compressible, so it packs easily in a backpack when the day goes from chilly to warm. Machine wash cold. Imported.
This Down parka combines a water-resistant/breathable shell with 600-fill down (the higher the number, the better it insulates). Ounce for ounce down is nature's best insulator and will keep him warm through the worst of winter. Handwarmer pockets with zippered closure. 100% polyester shell and lining.

light weight and warmNice, soft light weight fleece. I've washed it once and there was no pilling. It fits true to size, but is a bit bulky under a jacket. I got the grey and it is a great color.

Great fleece, not as great features this year...My children love these jackets. The fleece is dense, and very warm. However, last year's design was nicer looking (color block pattern), and most important were the zippered pockets! My boys like to zip things in their pockets. The zippered pocket also looked nicer. This year's serged edge makes it look cheap. It's not a cheap feeling jacket, so you shouldn't detract from it with a feature that looks cheap. Overall, I am happy with the jacket. I would just like zippered pockets back!

Not as good as it was in the pastI've purchased this jacket for the past few years for my boys and they live in it all year. This year I bought one for each of them and they both immediately noticed that the pockets no longer have zippers. Not very handy for boys who are always collecting things. They also no longer have the elastic around the sleeves which allows you to buy it a little large. Finally, the zippers aren't as robust as the past and feel cheap. Price is certainly great, but I'd prefer to pay a bit more and get the old features back.
