Lands' End Women's Flirty Linen Halter Dress
Design: This is one of those dresses that’s a perfect canvas for dressing up or down. The classic silhouette is created with a flirty (and flattering) wrap-style bodice and a full, breezy skirt all cinched together with an easy elastic waist and belt. Possibilities: Works with everything on your agenda from picnics to cocktail parties, weekend weddings to ordinary Wednesdays. Material: 100% linen gauze. Machine wash. Imported.
It’s a style you already know: our flattering fit-and-flare silhouette, in fluid cotton/modal knit. But so many of you told us you’d prefer it with sleeves that we had to respond. Now, you have a Fit and Flare Dress that works year-round. Get ready to love it all over again. 58% pima cotton/38% rayon-modal/4% Lycra spandex. Machine wash. Imported.
Hurray! Sport Knit comfort perfect for wearing to church, to the office, or out to dinner. Yup — it’s the same combed cotton interlock as the pants you live in. The dress is simply styled, with a graceful neckline and flattering A-line skirt. You might invent a few reasons to dress up. 100% cotton. Machine wash. Imported.
"The full name for the fabric is “ponté di roma."" It’s a double knit with just the right body for dresses and skirts that work year-round — by themselves when it’s warm, layered when it’s not. This sheath style follows your curves without ever feeling tight. And the princess seams and diagonal pockets make it slimming, indeed. 67% rayon/28% nylon/5% spandex. Machine wash. Imported."
Deceptively simple design: balletneck, straight skirt ... but slip it on and you'll appreciate its sophistication. Shaping seams front and back tailor the fit a bit (endlessly flattering). Tie the casual belt or go without — works either way! A touch of stretch makes it perfect for busy agendas. And don't worry about the enthusiastic hugs from your messy toddler — just toss it in the wash and you're ready to go. Machine wash, imported.
The wrapped and shirred bodice is kind of miraculous in the way it whittles your middle. And the flared skirt takes it from there, draping softly over your curves. Pretty, feminine and all the wonderful things a dress should be. 93% rayon/7% spandex. Machine wash. Imported.
"So pretty ? and so comfortable! There's just something about an empire waist that flatters every figure. And the flare skirt creates a soft silhouette that isn't too ""poofy."" The fabric is feathery-light. But don't worry that it's too sheer ? we added a full lining, so you needn't worry about hunting for a slip. Invisible side zipper. 100% cotton. Machine wash. Imported."
Now, here’s a silhouette you’ll love. Princess seams give shape to the bodice, while the A-line skirt flows gracefully over your curves. The slightly raised waist creates a smoother line through the hip — always flattering. What’s not to love? 72% polyester/24% rayon/4% spandex. Machine wash. Imported.
"It’s a silhouette you love. Princess seams give shape to the bodice, while the A-line skirt flows gracefully over your curves. The slightly raised waist creates a smoother line through the hip — always flattering. And then, there’s the fabric. Fluid ponté with a flocked print that has “holiday"" written all over it. (Not literally, of course.) 72% polyester/24% rayon/4% spandex. Hand wash cold. Imported."

Too bigThe material is nice, but I wish I had listened to the reviews. According to the LE charts I am a 10 up top, 14 bottom. I tend to fit size 12 dresses, but this 12 was way too big!

I disagree- love this dressI almost didn't buy this dress because the reviews were so scathing, but I disagree! I love this dress- I bought a size 0 (and I am not normally a size 0, more like a 4) but it's super comfortable, breezy, made of gorgeous thick linen, and fits me well on top- and I am by no means busty. It arrived packaged in a way to almost encourage wrinkles and poufiness, oddly, but I suspect it will calm down once washed and hung properly. Either way, the pouf doesn't bother me at all because the top is well fitted and the empire waist works with the poufiness. My only disappointment was that the blue appeared to be more of a denim shade in the photo but is actually very blue, a kind of dark cornflower (I'm not such a fan) but I will probably keep it anyway, and might grab the same dress in white if it goes further on sale.

CannuckChic - Review from Lands' End
Great dress if you are very large chested.I had already written a review for this dress and it was posted. Why Lands End would you take it down!!!It was the only review and it is important your customers know what they are buying. The dress arrived and after ironing it looked great. The chest however is huge....I am an xxs 34 b and I needed a huge padded bra to fill the top of this dress. If you have the goods, go for it. But for the rest of us smaller ladies don't waste your time. The dress cannot be fixed. Now having said this the fabric is nice, and the cut a little strange as it rides high on the waist. I gave it to a friend and she loves it.Please be honest in your reporting. I am a journalist and was extremely put off.
