Amber Strickler - Review from Amazon.com
Ok, what's with the styrofoam soles? The product information says "rubber soles". We all know what that looks and feels like, right? Well, these shoes are very light weight because the soles are made of a styrofoam-like material, molded with a little bit of texture and of course, some treaded protrusions, however the material itself is VERY SLICK. If you put one of these in a puddle, it will float really well (think crocks). But I don't want to walk on water, I want to walk through it without falling on my butt. My concern is when I'm hiking through the mud or simply walking through the city on a rainy day, these things are going to compromise my mission. It might seem strange to say when we're talking about a "tactical boot" which got it's beginnings as the official military boot of the French Foreign Legion, but these boots are of questionable quality. Palladium now uses their history as an ad campaign to sell fashion without the function and quality once attributed to their name. It is a real bummer, but even more disappointing when one has to wait a week for something to come in the mail just top find that it is of poor quality. I have officially learned my lesson with buying shoes on Amazon. DONT, unless you've seen the exact shoe in person.I got these for $67.00 but I would NEVER pay the $140.00 they are asking now.
