The Elephant Calf is part of Schleich's World of Nature: Wild Life Collection. This is animal figure has a long trunk, tough tusks and big ears all of which are bold features of this lowly leaf-eater. African elephants are the largest of the elephant species, making them the largest land animal. They have four toes on the forefeet and five toes on the hind feet. African elephants live in large clans that splinter off into smaller families. Schleich, founded in 1935, has been bringing figurines to life since the 1950s. In the 1980s, Schleich added animal figurines to their famous figurine line including the Smurfs, Snoopy, and the Muppet Show.
