The 7" blade is just a bit shorter than a traditional 8" chef’s knife, but provides all of the functions you need in a user-friendly package. Shun Classic knives feature a core of proprietary VG-MAX super steel clad on both sides with 34 layers of Damascus stainless steel. The woodgrain pattern of the steel allows the blade to slide easily through food. The ebony pakkawood handle, a fused blend of hardwood veneers and phenolic resin, is D–shaped for maximum comfort.
