STUDY Roy Lichtenstein For Preparedness Serigraph

Details
There’s more to Roy Lichtenstein than dots and comic books. Yes, the forbearer of the Pop movement is known for making subversive use of a mass-media aesthetic to create art that is informed, accessible, and fun all at once. But the celebrated painter was prolific.  He produced a body of work that also included abstract landscapes, sculpture, and cheeky reinterpretations of classic artworks by Picasso and van Gogh. Criticized for reproducing the banal when he burst on the scene in the early ’60s, time has proven Lichtenstein a master of his medium.
