D+ Air cooler is not an air conditioner and therefore uses much less energy. Air cooler works well in dry climates; not very effective in areas with high humidity as the unit utilizes water to cool. Leave window/door open to limit the rise of humidity and for better air ventilation in the room. Add as much ice as possible and set unit closer for best effect.
