Polo is a game of both luxury and athleticism. Combining the long lineage of equestrianism with the rough-and-tumble of field games such as soccer or lacrosse, polo is the quintessential sport of the wealthy and those who enjoy the finer things. In the United States, the governing body for the sport is the US Polo Association. Since 1890, the U.S. Polo Association has been promoting the sport of polo throughout the United States.
