Small Town Poor Girl - Review from UGG Australia
Solid, Sturdy and Real---OKAY, SORRY ABOUT THIS LONG REVIEW BEING ALL UPPERCASE. UGG DID THAT, NOT ME. I HOPE IT'S HELPFUL, ANYWAY.---I spent weeks looking for boots that would be comfortable, warm, sturdy, and beautiful, and last me for years. I settled on UGG because of their reputation for quality, and finally settled on the Grandle because it isn't too expensive, is cozy and warm, and has a short shaft, good for wearing with all my long skirts. I ordered the Java because I generally prefer brown shoes. When I first pulled the boots out of the box, I was a bit dismayed at how dark they were. They looked almost black, which I guess I should have expected, since coffee is almost black... Secondly, I was very pleased with how soft they were. The leather is not the shiny kind, but closer to suede; I can draw in it with my finger, and bumping it against stuff leaves interesting marks that easily rub away. When I pulled my boots on, at first the left one felt tighter than the right, a problem I often have with shoes. But the uneven feel went away as soon as I walked around in them. Initially, the heels felt too loose and my slender foot kept sliding forward, but I tightened that buckle by the ankle (can't adjust it much, since there are only three little holes) and it worked; now they fit like a dream. I've never had boots with real sheepskin before, and now my feet swim in luxury. The Grandles are so warm and comfortable that I often pull them on to serve as slippers around the house. They're soft enough to wear without socks, but I usually put on thin socks with them so I don't wear out the lining. Tights work wonderfully, too! But the boots aren't going to work in warm weather. If it isn't actually cold outside, they're like little portable ovens. It was only a few days before my boots felt like a part of me. I've had them about three weeks now, and the severe dark brown has softened, they've developed attractive creases, and so far have kept clean with just an occasional brushing. I adore the antiqued bronze buckles. The java color works with almost every outfit, and they are good for going to church, or just hanging out. It took a while for the style to grow on me. Sometimes the short shaft makes my feet look big, and these boots can indeed give off a biker vibe, more than I wanted. But they are still nice looking and have their cute moments, and their cozy comfort has won me over. I won't get this particular style again, but it works and meets my needs nicely, especially when paired with leg warmers. Overall, these boots are a very good value for the price. I had to order them straight off the UGG website because I couldn't find them at the mall, but it was worth it. The Grandle feels so solid and real, both in my hand and on my feet, and the quality surpasses even the other UGG styles I saw while boot shopping. Now this winter I can walk around (all day) with cozy feet, and try not to be too proud of the beautiful UGG plaque on the heel. Next time I need good boots, I'll look to UGG first.(P.S. These boots are made in China. Didn't seem to decrease the quality, though.)

ANOTHER WINNER!!!I was in Las Vegas last month I saw these in the window and had to add to my Ugg collection. I have had compliments every time that I have worn then they are so cute and so comfortable I actually wore them out of the store. Easy on and off as I was going through security at the airport. I was looking for something a tad different than the other many Uggs that I have and this boot fit the bill.

Really love it, exactly as picturedI work at a preschool that is always taking children to Central Park for exercise and fresh air, which is why I was desperately looking for a pair of boots that I could wear during colder weather and rain, without sacrificing comfort or agility should I need to chase after a child. These boots were a great solution. They look stylish, keep my feet warm, and make it easy enough to run after kids should I need to. The only complaint is that it does feel a bit stiff, too narrow at times. Perhaps it'll stretch out and soften as time goes by (since I've only worn them a handful of times so far).

Love These Boots! It's been quite a process for me buying boots this year--ordered from another retailer, returned, bought another pair, returned, and the whole time had been eyeing the Ugg Grandle online. I don't usually like to order footwear online, but bit the bullet and did it. So happy! Love the shearling lining--not as thick as "regular Uggs", but warm and cozy. Easy on and off and the motorcycle type style is just what I wanted, without being too biker. There isn't a ton of arch support, but I'm ok with it. I'm usually a 8 1/2-9 in boots (size 8- 8 1/2 in shoes), ordered the 8 1/2 and fit perfect. I've gotten many compliments, including being stopped by a stranger to ask about them, and an acquaintance said, "Uggs are making cute shoes now." Ha! I have several pairs of Uggs and they will always be popular with me cuz' they are so dang warm and comfortable.

Again, they are pricey. But the quality can't be beat and I love all the style variations UGG comes out with each season.
