Quit Hating!I am not for sure why there are so many bad reviews for this rug. I LOVE it! My toddler has wood floors in his room and I threw this down to add a punch. It is great. And he has actually thrown up on this rug TWICE and I have washed it twice... yep washed in my washing machine wash, and it came out great! It definitely isn't cushiony- it's a light weight flat rug... but I can vacuum it, tape it down with rug tape to stay in place, and holds up well. It's a good bang for your buck when you get it on sale. Glad I bought it... and bc of price and what I was going for, no big deal when I am done with it either. (I bought the gray color- FYI)

Won't last long.I bought the 5x7 red herringbone rug when it was on sale for Black Friday last year. I think I paid about $15 for it. I put it in the living room of my new apartment this July and am already thinking about replacing it, a mere 4 months later. It's impossible to clean and is fraying, despite the fact that my husband and I try to instill a "no shoes" rule. I would never pay more than $15 for it, because it isn't worth more than that. Either wait for a huge sale like Black Friday (which is coming up!) or save your money for a nice, sturdy rug that will last you 4 years instead of 4 months.

Terrible QualityI bought this rug last December (2012) and loved the color and the size was just right for the space in front of our front door. The material looked cheap and the loops came undone very easily and quickly. After a few months the rug began to look very dirty and the off-white part of the rug was getting pretty dingy. Soap and water only started to remove the color from the rug and was barely effective. After about 7 months I decided to throw the rug away. There is no way to clean it therefore it had to go. I suggest only ordering this rug if you plan to put it in a VERY low traffic area... no kids... no pets...

Invest in a better rug.I really wanted to love this rug. The price was fair and the design is gorgeous. I love the look of it! However, it never lays flat. Ever. Because of the weave, the moment you set foot on it (or put furniture on it) the fabric begins to flex. This creates wrinkles that you trip over and look awful. Seriously, it never lays flat. Check the photos, you can tell even there. Plus, it really does spot clean terribly. We have had ours for less than a year and are already thinking we'll have to throw it away because there are so many disgusting stains on it that we can't get rid of. Like I said, we really wanted this rug to work, but now I wish I had invested a little more money in one of the other great rugs that UO has to offer!

Bad choice if you have pets or childrenThis rug is super cute but spot cleans terribly, and mine totally wore out in less than a year. The teal dye runs into the cream dye with every spot clean, so you have to try to clean the shapes separately and it ends up looking worse than it did with the stain. Basically, this rug is terrible if you live with pets and/or children.
