Slow-simmer sauces, melt butter, make oatmeal or reheat soups with this even-heating cast-iron saucepan. Staub's innovative enamel coating takes cooking with cast iron to the next level with improved performance, style and durability. Multi-coat enameling ensures strength and heat resistance and creates a deep, vibrantly colored “majolique” finish similar in appearance to fine ceramic for oven-to-table presentation. Resistant to rust, chipping and cracking, the coating requires no additional seasoning like some other cast-iron pieces. The specially formulated black matte interior enamel of each piece contains traces of quartz, giving it additional heat resistance and a rougher surface resulting in better browning. The smooth enameled base is compatible with all cooktops including induction. Dozens of precisely placed bumps on the lid's interior funnel evaporated juices directly back down on top of the food itself for more even basting. Extra-heavy lid seals in moisture for tender, flavorful results. Made in France.

Perfect CookwareJust like the larger pans in the collections, the little sister has style and functionality all at the same time. Having such fantastic cookware makes a routine task of cooking dinner a pleasurable experience. This Ruffoni cookware collection is the best purchase I have ever made in the cooking arena!

PerfectionI purchased this fabulous little pot in July and it is my constant "go to" for just about everything. The size is perfect and clean up a breeze. I have many Ruffoni products and they all stand up to constant use and continue to look as they did when first purchased.

perfect sizeIf you haven't seen these in person, they are drop-dead gorgeous. We have the entire colleciton at this point and are ordering more of these 1.5 quart saucepans. Like all the Ruffoni stainless, the ornate knob on the top is more for display - it gets very hot, can't be washed in the dishwasher, and is hard to hold onto. They cook great, the clean up easily, and they are so beautiful that you can serve right from them at a dinner party.
