Okay, I'm not telling you to put a big gold belt on a plunge-neckline floor-length gown. Or am I?

I mean, don't choose a casual leather belt with a weird clunky buckle, but the look can definitely work with the right kind of elaborate (maybe metal?) belt with an ornate, decorative buckle.

Either that, or fork over a few bazillion grand for Carrie Underwood's gown...

This is a really cute look. I love the ethereal dress and eye-catching silver bag and shoes, all topped off with an artfully undone side-bun and minimal jewels. Carrie Underwood has really surprised me by morphing into a red carpet fashion icon, but there's still something about her that seems a bit "pageanty". Nonetheless, love this look!

You don't see a lot of stars sporting brown dresses these days -- most prefer a va-va-voom color (like red or gold) or classic black. But Carrie Underwood's outfit just goes to show that a simple brown shift with an interesting neckline can bs just as chic as black. In fact, brown is softer and makes her look much more approachable and down-to-earth (no pun intended). We love it with silver shoes and an un-fussy frame clutch.
