Meet Fashion Science model/client Rachel Berg, a successful business consultant and mother of two residing in California's Silicon Valley.

Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Honoring all those recent requests for a model with a real body.

Full figures represent the profile we work with most often.

What an inspiration you are Rachel. Thanks for joining us!!

Each person reading this is a walking roadmap of color.

Let your personal coloring be your guide.

Allow your "First String Colors" to make decisions for you.

Not only will these colors emphasis your beauty, they will work with each other to create endless options. Less will do more.

BROWN BACKDROP- chosen because of rachel's BROWN HAIR.

TEAL JACKET- chosen because of Rachel's BLUE GREEN EYES.

What color is the darkest strand of hair on your head (also known as a low-light)?

Repeat that color in a shell and pant. Fashion Science calls this "a backdrop". Shop in your closet or here at shopstyle creating your next or maybe your first backdrop.

NEXT

What color are your eyes?

Look closely. Unless you have black or very very deep brown eyes I guarantee that you have at least three colors in your iris.

Black and dark brown eyes, scroll down to see what we have to say about your color palette.

All palettes can choose a red inspired by your natural liptone or favored lipstick . Let's anticipate that favored lipstick is a flattering lipstick color. More input on best reds in future articles.

Choose one of those colors and layer your backdrop with a jacket.

Featuring Rachel in an evening look. Scroll down and watch as we take the same backdrop and move it into a very chic, casual, daytime look.

"If it looks good on your lips, it will look good in a jacket."

Take cues from your make-up bag. Get your favorite lipstick out. Now after committing to a neutral backdrop shop for a jacket, tunic, duster or wrap in your lipstick color.

Same backdrop translates into a daytime look with the change of a jacket and shoe

Two completely different looks working with the exact same backdrop inspired by first string colors also known as THE REPEAT OF YOUR BEAUTY.

Meet model/client Kathleen Schofield, a marketing finance manager for a major telecommunicaitions company.

Soft suiting replaces the structured suit we used to rely on.

A brown duster paired with a brown slack leaves a lot or room for options.

Brown duster- inspired by Kathleen's brown hair.

Teal underpinning- inspired by Kathleens teal eyes.

Silver necklace- inspired by all the awesome steele grey found in Kathleen's iris.

So you are a brunette with green eyes? Opt for the green underpinning.

Your favored lipstick is pink?
Opt for a pink underpinning.

Let your coloring (and your flattering lip stick color) be your guide!

The pant, shell and jewelry will stay on board for spring and summer. We will add a new layering piece to transform this look into the upcoming season influenced by a new take on trend.

Modern wardrobes want less that does more.

The suit is not completely extinct. In this case- just borrowed from.

We took Kathleen's brown suit jacket and layered it over a brown ruched shell and paired it with a favorite jean.

Depending on the office environment, this is a great Friday casual look.

BROWN jacket and shell- inspired by Kathleen's BROWN HAIR.

BLUE denim jean- inspired by Kathleen's BLUE EYES.

SILVER necklace- inspired by the STEELE GREY found in Kathleen's GREY BLUE EYES.

Denim is a nuetral for all wardrobes. We chose a popular David Kahn jean featuring gold stitching. This important detail is inspired by the gold highlight in Kathleen's hair. Not obvious in our photo.

Women who possess this beautiful color combination wear jewel tones well.

Their neutral palette welcomes the contrast of strong brights as featured here.

BLACK basics inspired by black or very dark brown HAIR are a must.

WHITE basics, inspired by SMILE will be a must as we move into the warmer months of spring and summer.

CAMEL basics inspired by SKIN are always a great choice for basics. Looks great next to black, white or your favorite jeweltone.
