I just saw your note...it totally reminds me more of Polyvore. I've never used it before, but I've seen it. I assume that's what the upload your own image thing is all about. I haven't had too much time to play around with it on SS though. I'm on a SS drive-by before Top Chef. :)

For this challenge I asked my 8th graders, What is an Icon? Here are the responses:

"Describes something to click on the computer", Girl, 14
