I don't know if you spend much time in NYC, but if you do, you know that the most fashionable girls there are all about one thing: stylish simplicity.
This tunic is awesome. Paired with thin capris/tights, it's the ultimate, "I'm way too cool for this museum but I'm loving it anyway" kind of look. The flats add a little embellishment and the whimsical necklace keeps it from being too serious.
This is the outfit to wear to the new MOMA and then out to lunch on the Lower East Side.

This is the perfect outfit for summer baby showers, wedding showers, garden parties, engagement parties, dinner parties, and all the other functions that fill up the summertime. It's not that they're not fantastic -- it's just hard to come up with the perfect outfit over and over.
This will do the trick.
The dress is adorable and *could* be sexy if you're flirting with the cutest guy on the patio, but not dangerously so -- that means it's okay to wear to Grandma Rose's 75th birthday party, too.
The jacket is *so* awesome and dresses this up a little, as does the chunky bangle and wood earrings. The yellow bag couldn't be more summery, and the gladiator sandals are a perfect finisher.
Please excuse me; I'm off to get some more of that sushi before it's all gone...

This look is pure party. Gold and white say "disco inferno" to me, and in my book, that's a good thing.
The only thing missing from this shimmery, sexy, sleek look is a pair of killer sunglasses.
Add martini, a great mash-up of Madonna's "Into The Groove" and the Bee Gee's "More Than a Woman" and see what happens...

This little number is what I'd wear to a summer arts fair. There are so many in Chicago, full of incredible handmade sculpture, paintings, quilts, housewares...the list goes on. Most of these fairs are in parks, and this outfit says, "I want to buy art and drink lemonade on the grass! And be gorgeous!"
The pink hues are super summery, the cardigan would come in handy if the day turns into the evening (those art fairs often have great concerts at night), and the handbag is big enough for a few little gift items I always pick up for friends along the way.
Flats = good for walking. Shorts = good for everything.
