I have adored fashion for as long as I can remember so this website is a dream come true for me. It combines two of my favorite pastimes: writing and fashion. Right now I am a fashion merchandising graduate student at the Academy of Art in S.F. I can not wait to graduate this spring and start my career in buying, but for now I can practice sourcing amazing fashion on this website.
Grunge is a major inspiration in the current trend so popular this fall. I've interpreted the trend as a slightly more sophisticated and polished version of the 90s grunge, but the essence is still there in the dark plaids, somber grey and black tones, ripped denim, knits, loose, slouchy silhouettes, lots of layering, and boyish accessories (combat boots, converse). There are two looks that would work in a formal setting and two that are casual. Either way, "You Know You're Right" in these looks.

I'm embracing the folk fashion that is a major trend this fall. The inspiration is equal parts Americana folk, traditional European folklore, luxe Bohemian, gypsy, and hippie. The classic palette of black is accented with garnet, earth tones, and gold. Have fun with bold prints, Tyrolean style embroidery, fringe, and luxe furs.
