SS is so inspiring and I'm learning so much! I figured I'd try to repay all of you (your looks and compositions have taught me so many things!) with what I, as a bartender, know best: drinks! I'm trying to couple each of my looks with a drink that has either inspired it, or is a fitting complement to it. I'm open to any suggestions when it comes to my looks..or requests when it comes to my drinks!

Though not the classic French Martini recipe (which uses Lillet), this version is tres girly and so delicious.

1 oz chilled vodka
1 oz chilled pineapple juice
1/3 oz Chambord

Combine all three ingredients in a shaker full of ice and shake hard to create a nice frothy head. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

Irish Coffee

It's supposed to rain all weekend. And when the wind whips off the harbor on a rainy day, it calls for an Irish coffee.

This recipe comes from a place that knows Irish coffee and cold, wet weather: San Francisco's Buena Vista.

2 sugar cubes
3oz Irish whiskey (Jameson)
Hot coffee
whipped cream

Place sugar in glass with a little hot coffee and stir to melt the sugar. Add a shot of whiskey and top with coffee, leaving room for whipped cream. Cover the top with as much whipped cream as you like.

Warm up.

Football season has begun, my friends, so crack open a beer and pull out the grill! Whether you're cheering for the Pac-10 or the ACC, there's no better time to show your spirit! Dress accordingly!

No drink recipe today, but there's a lot to choose from:
Pilsner
Ale
Lager
Porter
Stout
It all tastes good on a Saturday afternoon!
